highpower smd led leiste help in english

Hi,

I know how to order a beer when I am on holidays in Germany, but that's about it. So can anybody tell me what to order exactly? I want to use highpower smd led leiste warm weis 600 mm as general light in a living room of 4 x 8 meter. I think I need:
4 highpower smd led leiste warm weis 600 mm
4 alu profil 600 mm
1 einbau netzgerat 8a 12 v
1 dimmer hochleistungsdimmer
1 warmte leitkleber

Am I missing parts? Is it to much light/not enough?

Sorry for my bad english, I am german.

I think, thats enough light for this room. If you mount all lamps in each area (in the mid of half width and half length of the room-size) the bright light lights all objects in this room. Remember: the angle is 120 Degree so there no or only a little bit of the light comes on the top of this room.

All parts you have written, you must have.
Better: 1 piece more of warming paste than only 1.

All modules must drive in parallel. All plus-poles of each lamp at Plus, all minus-poles at Minus of the dimming-machine. And then it self to the transformer.

If you want to regulate the brightness at the dimming-machine without a helping voltage you must use the potentiometer with 10k. See pictures at the end of this datasheet: http://www.leds.de/media/products/04575 ... 866406.pdf

I also think 4x this led bar is a very good choice for that room size. I use 1 of this stripes to indirectly light the ceiling. This is fine seeing everything and for watching TV, a nice ambience.

But one stripe is far to dark to do tasks that require much light or if you don't want to get tired in an office. But 4 stripes will do pretty good at home, I think (in an professional office I'd recommend at least 8 of them)

3 more hints from me:
You can split each led high power stripe each 3 LEDs, so you end up with 20 3-LED-mini-stripes (each 3 cm long), which very easily can be cooled by a small heatsink. So you can distribute the light with a very uniform light intensity all over the room.

You don't need the (IMHO very expensive) aluminium profile from the shop, you can use any other alu profile that's big enough as well, especially if you split the SMD LED high power stripe and by that introduce spaces of e.g. 10 cm each 3 LEDs, a flat aluminium stripe of 3..5 times the width of the LED stripe itself [should|could|likely will] already be enough for the cooling.
